The Victorian Government is investing a record $1.04 billion through the 2026/27 State Budget to rebuild, repair and resurface roads across Victoria.
This significant funding is enough to get rid of 200,000 potholes as well as 200,000 graffiti tags and so much more.
This is the State’s largest ever road blitz, with about 70 per cent of funds to be spent in regional Victoria.
The record investment will:
“This is the biggest road blitz in the state’s history, and most of that money is going to regional Victoria.
“We’re delivering better, safer roads – and with 20 per cent off rego, it’s cheaper to get around,” Premier Jacinta Allan said.

The Labor Government has invested close to $3 billion over the past three years. This is the largest sustained investment in road maintenance in Victoria’s history. This massive investment includes an average spend of $993 million annually to maintain the State’s road network.
“We’re building and repairing the roads that Victorians depend on every day.
“Victorians are already seeing the results with 187,000 potholes removed this year – now we’re doubling down,” Minister for Roads and Road Safety Ros Spence said.
