Construction commences on Northline’s $23 million new transport and logistics facility in Adelaide. The 10,440 square-metre facility is going to be built by Melbourne-based property developer Gibb Group, and at least 200 jobs are expected to open for the building’s construction.
“This announcement that almost 200 people will work on the construction of the new facility, the majority of whom are Adelaide-based, is a great result for South Australian workers,” Transport and Infrastructure Minister Stephen Mullighan said.

Northline’s new facility is going to be located at Regency Park which is adjacent to the Kilburn rail yard. The facility is also nearby the north-south corridor which is undergoing an upgrade that has a $2.5 billion investment from the Federal and State Governments.
“Our investment in upgrading the north-south corridor will considerably improve freight productivity and freight accessibility to Port Adelaide, industrial centres, Adelaide Airport, rail and road freight terminals, and inter-modal facilities for businesses such as Northline,” Minister Mullighan said.
The facility in Adelaide is part of Northline’s $98 million national investment set for creating new facilities in four States and Territories, including those in Darwin-Northern Territory and Townsville-Queensland.
