Shipping containers are used worldwide and required for most import and export needs. Rather than simply discarding and replacing old, damaged or unused shipping containers, people have decided to recycle them and what they've come up with is pretty impressive. 

Office space

A US charity event company uses shipping containers as office space. These stackable office spaces are cheap, simple and maneuverable helping any business utilise its floor space more efficiently.

Food and beverage outlets are recycling shipping containers to make their businesses stand out.

Shopping Centre

This 85 foot tall shopping centre, in an industrial quarter of Europe, was constructed by stacking shipping containers. The bag retailer wanted to convey the company values through the use of recycled materials.
