Written by Kerri McGrath | Jun 23, 2016 2:00:00 PM

An $80m 11-storey tower has just been approved for development in central Geelong, south-west of Melbourne

The tower, located at 22-28 Brougham Street, will include 13,100 square metres of office space, 116 car parks and 100 bycicle spaces and has been designed to accomodate 850 employees.

The approval was supported by the Department of Environment, Land, Water & Planning, the City of Greater Geelong, the Geelong Authority and Places Victoria.

The tower will help revitalise the Geelong CBD and will be the first of many new developments, bringing construction jobs and economic growth to the city.

The planned revitalisation of the city means plenty of opportunities to spot construction equipment around town. Expect to see excavators, cranes, dozers, forklifts, loaders, backhoes and graders to name a few!

With plently of work on the horizon for Geelong, stay tuned for updates and potential opportunities.
