Avid Hire find 'fantastic outcomes' with PlantMiner

PlantMiner   |   August 2, 2015

When the company first started in 2011, Avid Hire focused on crosshiring equipment to larger hire companies. But what Mark found was that more and more firms were affected by the downturning market, and companies began to consolidate existing equipment and dispose of assets. It was increasingly difficult to utilise his fleet and the decision was made to adopt a more direct approach to the market.

PlantMiner is an fantastic business tool and has increased our quoting options immensely.  The team there are amazing, full of energy and always happy to help in any way they can.

Avid Hire has won a number of jobs through leads generated by PlantMiner.  Utilising this resource correctly can produce fantastic outcomes.

About Avid Hire

Avid Hire is an industrial equipment hire company that provides capital expense solutions by improving loan ability, reducing liability and providing the safest modern equipment. Avid Hire was founded in 2011, formerly CLH Civil & Mining Equipment Hire, and has strong roots in the mining and industrial sectors.

The wholly owned Australian company specialises in medium to long term hire of Light, Medium and Heavy Rigid Service and Support Trucks using the latest technologies and of the highest standards.

Mark Barac describes Avid Hire as somewhat of a boutique hire company, “we’re providing competitive rates and new quality equipment”. Endeavouring to build long lasting relationships and client satisfaction, Mark considers service as a paramount advantage of his business, adding that they “keep overheads very low and utilise GPS and In Vehicle Monitoring Systems (IVMS) to track and manage equipment”.

Challenge

When the company first got started, they focused on traditional hiring techniques like using existing contacts to cross hire equipment to large hire companies. However, the past few years have seen market sales slump with the changing industry and it became a matter of working harder for less results.

“We’re in a growth phase building our fleet, which means that for most instances, we can provide new equipment that meets national and mine specification safety requirements.  I knew we had the capability to provide tailored services, but I wanted to place more quality equipment into medium to long term hire agreements” Mark explained.

Solution

Mark knew he needed a new strategy. Looking to find new opportunities, Mark decided it was the right time to invest in “PlantMiner as a way to utilise their BDM team resulting in cost saving for Avid Hire.”

PlantMiner isn’t one of those companies that’s sitting around 8 to 5 and then you can’t get a hold of them. “The PlantMiner team are playing an integral role in helping Avid Hire achieve its targets. Their high energy approach works well with Avid Hire.”

Mark sees PlantMiner as more than just a lead generation service. “Not only does PlantMiner help us place more equipment,  it exposes Avid Hire and connects us with so many other businesses.”
