BMD Constructions has secured the contract to construct bridges between Glenugie and Tyndale, and another at Shark Creek as part of the Pacific Highway – Woolgoolga to Ballina Upgrade project in New South Wales.

The contract will involve the construction of 16 bridges across 10 locations along the Pacific Highway. This will include the construction on Shark Creek Bridge, which will be more than 870 metres long.

The company will be working closely with Roads and Maritime Services, with its delivery partner Pacific Complete, as well as several contractors to undertake main civil works, piling works, access roads and supply of pre-cast concrete.

As part of their contract, BMD Constructions will also build diversion roads, which are part of an early works package that is part of the Woolgoolga to Ballina Upgrade project. This will involve the construction of temporary and permanent diversion lanes across six locations, road treatments, property demolition and utility diversion.

Project completion is expected in 2020.
