Residential developer Metro Property Development has begun works on stage one of its luxury homes project in Sydney. The $260 million project includes the construction of town homes and apartments located at 88 Centenary Drive on the Strathfield Golf Club site.

Fairway Residences is Metro Property Development’s first major project in New South Wales and stage one will involve the construction of 50 luxury residences which were designed by Marchese + Partners Architects.

“We’re seeing a diverse range of buyers drawn to the tranquil location and easy lifestyle that comes with living in a large terrace style home without the upkeep of a traditional house.

“Buyers also like the location within close reach of transport, shopping centres, parks and schools,” said Metro Property's General Manager Phil Leahy.

Strathfield Golf Club is also having works done on a new Clubhouse and some facility upgrades not far from the Fairway Residences site.

Fairway Residences’ stage one civil construction works are expected to be completed by the end of 2016 and home construction completed by late 2017.
