Jemena Northern Gas Pipeline Pty Ltd has awarded Civmec Limited several contracts for works at the Phillip Creek Compressor Station (PCCS) of the Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) project located near Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory.
Civmec’s scope of works will include establishing a 200-man camp, site civil works which involves underground services, earthworks, concrete works and fencing.
The company will also undertake Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation (SMPEI) installation works which includes the installation of the Gas Treatment Equipment, residue gas compressor packages, export gas compressor packages, control room, switch room as well as a number of other components.
Site civil works have commenced, with the SMPEI set to begin in late September 2017. This project is expected to employ over 160 personnel during peak construction and is projected to be completed by August 2018.
“This is a significant and strategic award for us and combined with the scope growth at the Inpex project in Darwin, it will see an enlargement of our on-site capabilities within our Oil & Gas division and an expansion of our brand in the Northern Territory.
