Chevron Australia will soon move into its new headquarters in Western Australia as construction commences on the One The Esplanade in Elizabeth Quay, Perth.

The new 29-storey tower is being developed by Brookfield Properties and Multiplex, in partnership with Chevron and the State Government, and the $362 million project is expected to support up to 1,200 jobs during its development and construction.

“My Government is committed to making Elizabeth Quay as self-sustainable as possible, with a large permanent workforce located in a world-class building like this.

“The new 29-storey tower will add to Perth’s skyline bringing with it more optimism to the property development sector. The build will create thousands of jobs during construction and cements Brookfield and Chevron’s long-term position in Perth,” Premier Mark McGowan said.

The new tower will provide about 57,000-SQM of office and retail space, which will be able to accommodate up to 3,000 people. The building will feature childcare and gymnasium space as well as retail tenancies and cafe/restaurant options on the ground floor.

One The Esplanade is located at the corner of Barrack Street and the Esplanade in Elizabeth Quay, and construction is due to be completed by mid-2023.

“Key infrastructure projects like these signify long-term investment in Western Australia; they help drive growth, create jobs, draw more people into our city and boost our economy. It has been made possible through the successful collaboration of Brookfield, Chevron, Multiplex and the State Government.

“Creating jobs for Western Australia is my priority. I’m pleased to mark the construction of this job-creating development which will be here for many generations to come. This is a significant long-term investment into Perth and I would like to acknowledge celebrated builder Multiplex and developer Brookfield in working with Chevron to realise this major project,” the Premier said.
