A major milestone has been marked on Diversified Minerals’ Dargues Gold Project in New South Wales, with the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract awarded to DRA Global.
“Diversified Minerals are pleased to be working closely with DRA Global on the design and construction of the Dargues Gold Project and look forward to continuing our long-standing relationship and working with DRA to successfully deliver the project,” Diversified Minerals CEO Nick Woolrych said.
Under the EPC contract, DRA’s scope of works will include the delivery of a 350,000 tonne per annum capacity processing as well as a backfill plant to be utilised by the mine.
The processing plant is set to include circuits for crushing, milling, flotation and filtration. In addition, the processing plant is lodged to produce export-quality sulphide concentrate.
Once developed, the Dargues Gold Project is anticipated to produce up to 50,000oz of gold annually over the first six years of production.
“DRA is delighted to have the opportunity to provide our expertise to Diversified Minerals and work with the Diversified Minerals team in successfully delivering this project,” Executive Vice President for DRA in the Asia Pacific Region, Greg McRostie said.
Works on site is expected to commence in February of this year, with the first ore processed in early 2020.
The Dargues Gold Project is located north of Majors Creek village, approximately 60 kilometres southeast of Canberra and 13 kilometres south of Braidwood, NSW.
