Decmil-BESIX JV secures $21m construction contract from Fortescue Metals

Decmil Australia Pty Ltd, in a joint venture with BESIX Australia Pty Ltd, has been awarded a $21 million construction contract by Pilbara Marine Pty Ltd – a wholly owned subsidiary of Fortescue Metals Group.

The contract is for the construction of tug facilities at Port Hedland in Western Australia. The scope of works will involve the provision of tug infrastructure as well as service facilities including fuel, lighting, electrical and water services at the Anderson Point site.

Works are scheduled to commence immediately, with completion set for early 2018.
