Designs have been revealed for the $385 million EQ West mixed-use development at Elizabeth Quay. The development will be located along William Street at Lots 2 and 3. EQ West is being developed by AAIG and Fini Group.

This project will include two towers for up to 300 residential and 170 short-stay apartments as well as a hotel, dining and retail precinct.

EQ West will feature “Australia’s only” high-rise public art museum with a viewing are that overlooks the Swan River.

The developers, Fini and AAIG venture – also known as CA & Associates – are planning to submit a version of EQ West’s design for development approval.

Construction is expected to begin in 2017 and completed by 2019.

According to Fini Group’s Adrian Fini, the entire Perth community and tourists will benefit from the precinct’s “highly activated” public spaces as well as entertainment and tourism opportunities.

“There is no other development like this in Australia and the art museum and viewing gallery will be a must visit attraction for anyone coming to the city centre,” Mr Fini said.

The sale of Elizabeth Quay’s Lot 2 and 3 was confirmed by WA Planning Minister Donna Faragher, and the winning concept plans by Kerry Hill for EQ West was unveiled.

“Elizabeth Quay continues to attract the best WA has to offer – internationally-renowned architects and artists, premium restaurant operators, highly experienced developers and some of the highest land sales on record,” Minister Faragher said.
