Downer EDI grows their order book with two new contracts for road management and maintenance works in the states of Tasmania and Victoria.
The Department of State Growth Tasmania has awarded Downer a $130 million State Road Network Maintenance Services contract for the North West Tasmania road network - a 2,450 kilometre section of sealed and unsealed roads and bridges.
Under this four-year contract, Downer will undertake all network management and maintenance services including planning and delivery of maintenance and upgrade works as well as roadside clearing activities and emergency response management. Works under this contract have already commenced.
Downer said on their media release: “This contract builds on Downer’s rich history in Tasmania. Downer also holds the Five Key Bridge Structures - Operational and Maintenance Contract in the southern part of Tasmania.”
The company has also secured the VicRoads Western Region road network management contract. Downer will be providing maintenance services on road, roadside and structural assets in Western Metropolitan Melbourne. This new three-year contract will be replacing Downer’s Western Region contract from VicRoads.
