Ertech has been awarded a $12 million earthworks contract for Heron Resources’ Woodlawn zinc-copper project in New South Wales.
Ertech’s scope of works on the mine – located near Tarago, 250-kilometres south west of Sydney – will include:
The Woodlawn project is expected to produce up to 70,000-dry metric tonnes (dmt) of zinc concentrates as well as 25,000-dmt of lead concentrates per year.
Heron Resources has also awarded CIMIC Group’s Sedgman a $107 million EPC contract earlier this month.

Tenders are called for more safety works on a 4.7-kilometre stretch on the Bruce Highway at Chatsworth - north of Gympie - in Queensland. The $12 million project is set to provide safer travel and improve traffic conditions along the route.
Construction is underway on a $12 million safety upgrade to the Midland Highway between Ballarat and Creswick in Victoria, which is expected to create more than 50 local jobs.
