Evolution Mining (Mungari) Pty Ltd has awarded NRW Holdings Limited a $360 million contract to undertake surface mining at the Castle Hill deposit in Western Australia.
The contract’s scope of works will include load and haul, drill and blast, and the construction of site supporting facilities. Drill and blast works will be carried out by Action Drill & Blast Pty Ltd, which is a subsidiary of NRW Holdings Limited.
Works are due to begin in November of this year and is expected to be completed by mid-2030. This project is estimated to employ an average of 150 people.

The Castle Hill deposit is part of the Mungari Operations in the heart of the Goldfields region, about 50 kilometres northwest of Kalgoorlie and 40 kilometres north of Coolgardie.
The project site is ideally situated to enable NRW to engage with local businesses and further develop the local community partnerships established by the Mungari Operations.
