GR Engineering Services has announced that it has been awarded a variation of its existing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with Greenstone Resources (WA) Pty Ltd for the delivery of the Stage 2 upgrade of the King of the Hills Operations in Western Australia.

Greenstone Resources is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vault Minerals Limited.

The new contract award is valued at $79 million, bringing the total contract value for this project to $155 million.

“We are pleased to continue working with Vault at their King of the Hills processing facility. We see the award of this additional stage of works as a strong endorsement of GR Engineering’s performance in the delivery of the work that has been performed to date. We look forward to continuing to work with the Vault team on the successful and safe delivery of this project,” GR Engineering Services Managing Director Tony Patrizi said.

King of the Hills is part of Vault Minerals’ Leonora Operation in the Goldfields region, about 900 kilometres north-east of Perth and 25 kilometres north of Leonora.

The scope of works under the contract award includes the design, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of the upgrade to the King of the Hills processing plant. This stage of the upgrade will increase the annual throughput of the wet processing plant to 7.5Mtpa.

GR Engineering Services will commence works immediately.

Stage 2 will dovetail with the first stage of the upgrade, which is currently under construction.
