John Holland has been awarded a $45 million contract to deliver works on the St Andrew’s Ipswich Private Hospital redevelopment in Queensland.
John Holland’s scope of works will include the provision of 90 new beds and the first private hospital Emergency Department in the region. Works will also include refurbishing key areas of the existing hospital for Ramsay Health Care.
“John Holland has significant experience in hospital developments, including Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital and Lismore Base Hospital.
“The provision of premium levels of service to the health sector is at the core of our vision for our business,” said John Holland Chief Executive Officer Joe Barr.
According to John Holland Building Manager QLD/NT Colin Matthews, this contract award represents a continuation of the company’s long standing relationship with Ramsay Health Care.
“We have been delivering projects for Ramsay since the early 2000s, and are pleased to be involved in the creation of this first class and highly functional medical facility, which will cater to the health care needs of one of South-East Queensland’s fastest growing regions,” Mr Matthews said.
Construction has already commenced on-site, with completion expected for 2018.
