Mastermyne Group has been awarded a roadway development contract for Whitehaven Coal’s Narrabri mine in New South Wales.
The company will be undertaking roadway development, including initial set up work as well as conveyor installations in the gate roads. Scope of works include full management and supply of equipment and skilled personnel who will be executing the works.
Works are expected to commence in October 2017 and will be taking up to 18 months to complete. The project is also expected to support up to 55 full time jobs.
Mastermyne will be deploying a continuous miner and ancillary development equipment from their own fleet for this project.
“We are very pleased to have secured this new project and we are looking forward to building a strong working relationship with Whitehaven’s Narrabri Coal operations. This project builds on the already very strong order book we have for FY2018 with further opportunities still in the pipeline,” Mastermyne CEO Tony Caruso said.
