Monadelphous Group is growing their order book for this year as the company secures various work contracts in the resources and energy sectors with a combined value of about $150 million.

Three of the contracts are for work in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The first contract is under the company’s existing BHP Western Australis Iron Ore (WAIO) Asset Panel Framework Agreement associated with the dewatering of surplus water at the Mining Area C operations.

Monadelphous has also been appointed to BHP’s WAIO Site Engineering Panel for another two-year term. This will get the company to continue providing civil, structural, mechanical, piping and marine services at BHP’s Pilbara Marine Site and Port Operations.

The second contract was awarded by Rio Tinto and it is a three-year contract to provide maintenance services as well as the delivery of minor projects at Rio Tinto’s Pilbara marine infrastructure.

Lastly, Fortescue Metals Group has awarded Monadelphous a one-year extension to its two existing fixed plant maintenance and shutdown crane services.

In addition, Monadelphous will continue providing mechanical and electrical maintenance and turnaround services for one of its client's midstream operations in the Queensland coal seam gas market after the company has secured a new four-year contract.

Outside Australia, Monadelphous has secured a three-year contract that will get the company to provide minor capital project services – including civil, mechanical, structural, piping and blast and paint – at Newcrest Mining’s gold mining operations on Lihir Island in Papua New Guinea.

“As always, we remain focused on the safe and efficient delivery of high-quality service solutions and we are pleased to continue to be recognised as a partner of choice by our customers,” Monadelphous Managing Director Rob Velletri said.
