Monadelphous Group Limited has announced that it has secured $180 million worth of new construction and maintenance contracts in several sectors in Western Australia – including the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Rio Tinto has awarded a five-year master agreement for marine structural integrity works at the Cape Lambert Hub in the Pilbara region to Monadelphous. This is the company’s first two-year call-off under the agreement for the provision of online and offline structural integrity works – scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2027.
Also in the resources sector, Monadelphous has secured a contract that will enable the company to carry out upgrades to the Rolling Stock Maintenance (RSM) Workshop at Fortescue’s Thomas Marshalling Yard in Port Hedland. This project is anticipated to be completed in 2026.
In the energy sector, the company has secured a contract for the provision of multidisciplinary services associated with the hook up and commissioning of Woodside Energy’s Floating Production Unit in the Scarborough Gas Field – located about 375 kilometres off the Pilbara coast – which forms part of Woodside’s Scarborough Energy Project.
Monadelphous’ offshore scope of works for this contract will include the installation of pipe spools, structural items, scaffolding, rope access as well as instrument and electrical equipment installation and testing. Onshore, office planning and preparation works will commence immediately.
Lastly, Monadelphous’ civil business Melchor has been awarded a multidisciplinary construction contract with Mid West Ports. The works will be delivered as part of the Geraldton Port Maximisation Project – expected to be completed in the second half of 2026.

ElectraNet Pty Ltd has awarded CIMIC Group company UGL Limited a $180 million contract to deliver infrastructure that will connect the Prominent Hill Mine to the South Australian electricity grid.
