Monadelphous Group has secured a number of new as well as extension contracts, with a total value of $220 million, for construction and maintenance works in Australia and internationally.
The company has won a two-year contract from Rio Tinto for the supply of fixed plant maintenance services at some of Rio Tinto’s Pilbara operations. This builds on Monadelphous’ existing package of works for Rio Tinto.
Monadelphous, through its joint venture with Giovenco Industries, has also secured a 12-month extension contract for maintenance works at the Woodside Petroleum-operated Karratha gas plant life extension program. The contract will cover the delivery of mechanical, electrical, access, coatings and insulation services for the program.
Under its China-based fabrication business SinoStruct, Monadelphous received an additional order from Santos to supply and fabricate wellhead skids which is part of Santos’ upstream coal seam gas development located in northern Queensland.
Lastly, the company secured a new contract to provide electrical and instrumentation construction works which are associated with the Shaft 2 Surface Facilities for the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Project that is located in South Gobi, Mongolia. This is the second contract awarded to Monadelphous for this project, and it is set to be completed in September 2019.
