Multiplex has been chosen to deliver Singapore's Fragrance Group’s $315 million hotel and apartment project – known as the Premier Tower – in Melbourne’s CBD.
The Elenberg Fraser designed tower will span have 79 levels and it will feature a unique “wave like” curved design. The Premier Tower – located on the corner of Spencer and Bourke Streets – will include a mix of hotel guest rooms and apartments as well as cafes and spaces.
The 796 apartments will come in a variety of one, two and three bedroom configurations which will offer views of Melbourne CBD. The tower will also have 187 hotel rooms on a six-level podium. Premier Tower will be featuring a range of exclusive facilities for residents, including indoor heated pools, barbeque areas, gymnasiums, virtual golf, theatre rooms and billiards/poker rooms.
“We are delighted to deliver this distinctive high-rise tower in Melbourne. It is set to fast become a landmark in the CBD,” said Multiples Regional Managing Director Graham Cottam.
As part of this project, the Savoy Tavern that is currently on-site will be demolished.
About 600 jobs will be created with the construction of the Premier Tower, which is expected to be completed in 2020.
