WSA Co is set to release an Expression of Interest (EOI) to market for the delivery of main earthworks and airside pavements for the $5.3 billion Western Sydney Airport project.
The Government-owned company has already released two procurement packages – one for a Delivery Partner and another one for Project Manager. These roles will be providing professional support to WSA Co with regards to project management, planning, design development and construction management.
The EOI for the Bulk Earthworks and Airside Civil Works package is expected to be release in the coming week as part of the first stage of the main airport works program. This package is one of the largest work packages for this project, which will involve moving more than 20 million cubic metres of earth in order to level the work site.
Early earthworks are expected to begin before the end of 2018 – ahead of the bulk earthworks – setting the Western Sydney Airport on track to begin operations by the end of 2026.
