Probuild appointed to build new mixed-use precinct in Sydney's west

Probuild is set to deliver the first stage of a new mixed-use development in Sydney’s West that is lodged to be an essential part of a new precinct that will stand adjacent the future Edmondson Park train station.

Probuild will deliver Stage 1 of the Ed.Square Town Centre for Fraser Property Australia, and the development will comprise of a two-storey retail space that can cater to up to 90 retail outlets. The project will also include an above basement car park and four residential buildings that will have a total of up to 300 apartments.

“This is a truly mixed-use project; and a fantastic one to be a part of.

“We are looking forward to continuing our successful relationship with Frasers Property, one we have fostered across the country for more than five years now,” Probuild NSW Managing Director Nick Gaudry said.

The two-level basement car parking included in the project is set to cater to both retail and residential use, with the entire car park expected to accommodate up to 1,540 cars.

Construction on the first stage of Ed.Square Town Centre is expected to support up to 600 local jobs.

The project is anticipated to be completed in late 2020.

Fraser Property Australia’s Executive General manager - Retail Peri Macdonald has welcomed the announcement of Probuild as the preferred contractor to deliver this new mixed-use development.

“This is a major milestone in the creation of Ed.Square and we’re excited that construction of the town centre - the heart and soul of this new community - is under way,” Mr Macdonald said.
