The procurement process for the development of the Victoria Park precinct Olympic and Paralympic Games infrastructure is now underway.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) will kickstart the integrated Master Plan for the precinct, which will include the Brisbane Showgrounds and surrounds.
This EOI process is for master planning Principal Contractors and their sub-contractor teams to lead this foundational phase. The EOI is available on the VendorPanel website until 1 August 2025.
“The Victoria Park precinct will leave a lasting legacy in Brisbane well beyond the Games.
“The Crisafulli Government is working tirelessly to deliver the Games Queenslanders deserve with expressions of interests now open for a number of key venues,” Minister for Sport and Racing and Minister for the Olympics and Paralympic Games Tim Mander said.
The Victoria Park precinct Master Plan will reimagine this inner Brisbane precinct as a world-class hub for recreation, events, entertainment, and lifestyle, leaving a lasting legacy for Queenslanders well beyond 2032.
This key milestone follows the Australian and Queensland Governments reaching a landmark new agreement that will deliver critical and generational infrastructure ahead of the 2032 Games.
Earlier this month, the Australian Government announced that its $3.435 billion contribution towards the $7.1 billion Games Venue Infrastructure Program will be refined and reallocated to ensure legacy infrastructure is delivered for the Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond.
The two levels of government will work together to deliver 17 new and upgraded venues across Queensland, including the main Games stadium at Victoria Park and National Aquatic Centre.
“Today, as we mark seven years to go until the Games, we are getting on with delivery and putting Queensland’s legacy at the centre of our generational infrastructure investment.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for industry leaders to help deliver Queensland’s largest infrastructure legacy.
“After 1,200 days of Games chaos under the former Labor Government, the Crisafulli Government’s 2032 Delivery Plan ensures Queensland is delivering the right projects, in the right places to host the Games and leave a generation infrastructure legacy.
“With the precinct to include Brisbane Stadium in Victoria Park, the National Aquatic Centre in Spring Hill and the Brisbane Athlete Village in Brisbane Showgrounds, it will become a key part of Queensland’s Games legacy,” Deputy Premier and Minister for State Development, Infrastructure and Planning Jarrod Bleijie said.
The Victoria Park main stadium will become the new, world-class, 63,000-seat home to AFL and cricket in Queensland. This venue is also expected to attract major national and international events even after the 2032 Games.
During the Games, the stadium will host the opening and closing ceremonies alongside athletics events.
The first phase of the project will involve the development of the Victoria Park Precinct Master Plan that will include technical site investigations, planning, and design works to support the delivery of infrastructure.
The Master Plan will identify major pieces of connectivity and public realm infrastructure needed for the precinct to operate both during and after the Games.
In addition, it will focus on world-class and iconic public and green spaces, improving connectivity, and creating seamless experiences for the thousands of visitors anticipated to enjoy the precinct.

The Queensland Government will work closely with Brisbane City Council, the Royal National Agricultural and Industrial Association of Queensland (RNA) as well as other key stakeholders to ensure integrated design outcomes across the Victoria Park precinct.
Community feedback on the Victoria Park Precinct Master Plan will play a crucial role in shaping features such as open spaces, public realm enhancements, and parklands.

“The Crisafulli Government’s vision for the 2032 Games will transform Brisbane into the sporting capital of Australia and ensure Victoria Park continues to be a destination for everyone.
“We’ve delivered a pump track, picnic shelters, an urban common and Brisbane Metro, which already provides direct access to Victoria Park ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“This is a great opportunity for us and the community to have input into the State Government’s vision for this incredible precinct,” Brisbane Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said.
