Procurement is now underway for the transformation of Brisbane’s iconic Gabba stadium and the neighbouring former GoPrint site, marking a major milestone in the delivery of the Gabba Entertainment Precinct.

A Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) and Information Memorandum have been released for the precinct development, which is part of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games legacy and urban transformation.

This is the beginning of the competitive market process, inviting the private sector to submit proposals for the delivery of a globally recognised destination for entertainment, sport and new housing for Queenslanders.

The Request for EOI for the Gabba Entertainment Precinct will remain open until 12 January 2026.

The Crisafulli Government is getting on with the job of delivering for 2032 and beyond while ensuring the Games deliver a generational infrastructure legacy across Queensland.

“With the opening of procurement for the new arena, the Crisafulli Government has achieved more in the last six months since the 2032 Delivery Plan than Labor did in over seven years.

“The Crisafulli Government is partnering with the private sector to deliver a world-class mixed-use precinct to deliver more homes for Queenslanders and a state of the art new 17,000-seat indoor arena.

“Queensland is well and truly open for business and the Crisafulli Government looks forward to working in partnership with the private sector to deliver the Gabba Entertainment Precinct,” Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie said.

The precinct, anchored by a new indoor arena, will redefine how Brisbane hosts major events, concerts and sporting fixtures while, at the same time, unlock new housing and investment opportunities in one of the city’s most connected locations.

This transformative development will position Woolloongabba as a dynamic cultural, residential and community epicentre that ensures its golden legacy lives on well beyond 2032.

The Gabba Entertainment Precinct development aligns with the Queensland Government’s commitment to delivering lasting infrastructure and strengthening communities. The precinct will unlock:

  • Tourism opportunities through major events, sports, and experiences
  • New investment attraction in hospitality, retail, and residential development
  • Increased housing and urban activation in one of Australia’s fastest growing cities
  • A showcase for innovation and design in Brisbane’s inner south
  • Access and connectivity to the Cross River Rail line, minutes from the CBD

Proponents are required to register via VendorPanel to access procurement documentation for this development.
