PYBAR Mining Services has been awarded two development and mining contracts for Auctus ResoucesMungana and King Vol projects in North Queensland.

Works have already commenced on both sites, with PYBAR providing service provisions at Mungana for 31 months and approximately five years at King Vol.

PYBAR completed the early works program on the Mungana zinc, copper, silver, gold and lead mine – located 16 kilometres from Chillagoe – in January, with production expected to ramp up later in 2017 and peaking in early 2018.

The company has also established the portal and ground support on the King Vol zinc mine – located 25 kilometres from Mungana – as well as began development on the first 40 metres of the decline and established explosive magazines, temporary workshops and offices.

In the coming months, PYBAR will put up the permanent offices, workshop, ablutions, batch plant and sewerage treatment plant. The company will also be pushing the decline down and will be developing the first levels to commence production, which is expected to ramp up in the second half of 2017.

“The award of the Mungana and King Vol contracts is significant for PYBAR. Along with our recent contract award at Thalanga and long standing partnership at Mt Isa, we are re-establishing our presence at underground projects in Queensland as we enter a new nation-wide phase of growth.

“Our focus at these sites, and operations-wide, is on building a close working relationship with our clients to deliver safe, rapid development and production – applying innovative technology and solutions where we know they can deliver value,” said PYBAR CEO Paul Rouse.
