RCR Tomlinson has been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract as well as the operation and maintenance (O&M) contract – with a combined value of $110 million – for Renewable Energy System’s (RES) Emerald Solar Farm in Central Queensland.

Scope of works under RCR’s contract will include EPC and commissioning of the solar farm. The company will also be providing O&M services for an initial 2-year term for the solar farm once it is commissioned off, with a number of extension options for up to 10 years.

Earlier this year, RCR signed an Early Works Letter with RES for the development of an EPC contract for the 68MW Emerald Solar Farm.

“We are very pleased to be working alongside RES, one of the world’s largest renewable energy companies, who have been actively supporting investment on sustainable energy projects in Australia since 2004.

“We look forward to working with the local community in Emerald to realise the jobs and economic benefit opportunities that this project will create,” RCR Managing Director and CEO Paul Dalgleish said.
