RCR wins $315m worth of contracts for works on two QLD solar farm projects

RCR Tomlinson has been awarded two contracts – valued at approximately $315 million – for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) as well as operation and maintenance (O&M) works on two solar farms, developed and maintained by Edify Energy Pty Ltd.

“We are very pleased to continue our strong relationship with Edify Energy to deliver these two large-scale solar energy projects generating a combined 200MWac,” RCR Managing Director and CEO, Dr Paul Dalgleish said.

Scope of works on the two solar farms – the 150MWac Daydream Solar Farm and the 50MWac Hayman Solar Farm – will comprise of EPC and commissioning, including interface works on substations. Once RCR has commissioned the solar farms, the company will provide O&M services for both Daydream and Hayman Solar Farms for an initial 10-year period, with a 5-year term extension option.

Both solar farms are located in Collinsville, Northern Queensland and construction is set to begin in Q3 2017.
