The Northern Territory Government is proceeding to the select tender process for the new Department of Health (DoH) headquarters.
The project will create hundreds of construction jobs and inject millions of dollars into the local community.
Three proponents have been shortlisted from the EOI process to continue to the select tender process, including Randazzo Properties, Palmerston Investments and the Halikos Group. EOI's closed on 13 May and resulted in 18 submissions with 25 options.
The successful tenderer will supply up to 12,000 m2 of office accommodation for the DoH. Options under consideration include office accomodation in the Darwin CBD and Palmerston CBD, with a view to having 6,000m2 in each centre.
The NT Government will consider submissions that not only meet the core building requirements, but also maximise the broader social and economic benefit to the community by creating and sustaining jobs and increasing business attraction.
The request for tenders is expected to be called in October. Stay tuned for more information on the project.
