Seymour Whyte Constructions has been awarded additional work packages on the Pacific Highway – Woolgoolga to Ballina Upgrade, valued at approximately $136 million.

A $163.3 million Main Civil Works contract for Section 3 of the project was awarded to a 50/50 joint venture between Seymour Whyte and Ostwald Brothers, where Seymour Whyte books in $81.65 million. Scope of works under this contract include bulk earthworks and civil works which follows Seymour Whyte’s current Wave 5A early works contract for a 35-kilometre greenfields alignment between Glenugie and Tyndale.

Seymour Whyte has also secured a $54.5 million Section 3 – Bridges Structures contract, which is located in the same area as the main civil works. Under this contract, the company is going to be responsible for the construction of 20 bridges, with the largest one is a 19-span twin bridge over the Coldstream River.

“We are able to offer our client additional value through reduced mobilisation costs and more importantly, a core team that is already aligned to the project culture and well-placed to quickly achieve positive outcomes,” Seymour Whyte Managing Director and CEO John Kirkwood said.
