Evolution Mining has recently awarded a three-year contract to SRG Global for works on Evolution’s various gold mines across Australia including the Mount Rawdon and Mount Carlton mines in Queensland and the Cowal open pit mine in New South Wales.

Under this $78 million contract, SRG Global will deliver drill and blast services to Evolution’s mines. SRG Global will be utilising its existing fleet to deliver the works.

The new contract also has an option to extend operations for a further two years which will bring the contract value to $115 million.

“This term contract is a significant achievement for SRG Global and our mining services team,” SRG Global Managing Director David Macgeorge said.

The Mount Rawdon mine is located 75 kilometres south west of Bundaberg and the Mount Carlton mine is located 150 kilometres south of Townsville in Queensland. The Cowal open pit mine, on the other hand, is located 350 kilometres west of Sydney and 40 kilometres north-east of West Wyalong in New South Wales.
