Sydney subcontractor lands four major contracts with the help of PlantMiner

Sydney-based construction start-up Jayform, which provides formwork, steel fixing and concreting, has landed four major contracts within three months of joining PlantMiner’s subcontractor platform.

The company, which [started in 2015 after two long-time builders decided to branch out on their own], secured contracts for concrete packages across Sydney, including Glenwood, Petersham, Dover Heights and Eastlakes.

With the construction sector facing increased scrutiny around risk mitigation and quality builds, Jayform has built their business on the motto that ‘Your trust is our foundation to Build.’

Jayform Director Said Al-Zebdeh told PlantMiner that the company understood that strong client relationships ultimately laid the foundations for a successful construction business.

"Jayform began its journey with the view of providing clients with quality work delivered through the highest levels of professionalism, hard work and communication skills,” Mr Al-Zebdeh said.

“We thrive to research in innovational ideas and processes that will enhance our client relationships and develop new ways of delivering our services.

“We initially adopted the strategy of focusing on existing client relationships, [and] then started the process of searching for new clients through referral, general search engines and advertising.”

Mr Al-Zebdeh spoke of the frustrations Jayform faced when trying to expand their client base, including deciding which online advertising method best suited their company values and how to get in touch with the right prospects at the right time.

“From a business development point of view, the hardest point in any working relationship is the initial stage because this determines your professionalism, competency, initial impression etc.”

“In May of this year, PlantMiner reached out to me as they expanded their subcontractor offering, I trialled their service and have been a happy customer ever since.”

Like the emerge of hotel, flight and insurance comparison and booking services, PlantMiner has sought to disrupt the Australian construction and mining industry by providing access to multiple providers of plant, equipment and now subcontractor packages.

Subcontractors list their services on PlantMiner.com.au, and match with qualified job requests from leading contractors and builders.

“The advantage of PlantMiner is that they understand your business, analyze your professionalism, communication skills, competency and all necessary requirements for a successful business. They then reflect this on to the client through their client relationships and communication skills.”

Since joining four months ago, PlantMiner has accelerated the growth of Jayform's client base, project exposure and marketing opportunities.

“The team is very helpful, collaborative and passionate when dealing with Jayform. In addition, to providing constructive feedback on project status, advice on improving the business and client relationship development,” concluded Mr Al-Zebdeh.

“Plantminer is simply priceless for the success of a business."
