Valmec has recently secured new construction and services contracts, with a combined value of $14 million, in the infrastructure and gas sectors - including on the Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) project.
The company’s first contract is for works on Jemena’s $800 million NGP project, including commissioning support services on both the Mount Isa - in Queensland - and Phillip Creek - in the Northern Territory - compression facilities. The NGP project involves the construction of a 622-kilometre pipeline that will run from Tennant Creek to Mount Isa, connecting the NT to the eastern gas pipeline grid.
Valmec’s second contract is for construction, fabrication and maintenance works on Water Corporation’s Norseman and Bold Park infrastructure facilities in Western Australia.
The third contract that Valmec secured is for compression equipment overhaul and maintenance services for APA Group on their Sole Orbost Gas Project in Victoria.
Works on these contracts are expected to begin immediately and most of the works are projected to be completed by early 2019.
“We are pleased to be able to announce our latest awarded contracts with our long term repeat clients.
“Valmec remains well placed to participate in the significant upstream energy and infrastructure spending expected to be committed during FY2019,” Valmec Managing Director Steve Dropulich said.
