Perth-based company Valmec has secured a number of new contracts – with a combined value of $30 million – for works in the resources and gas sectors.

The company will be working with APA Group for the construction of a four-kilometre gas pipeline at Dacian Gold's Mt Morgan project. Valmec has secured a contract to build a compressor station for APA as well, which is going to be constructed at the Murrin Murrin facility located on Western Australia’s Goldfields gas pipeline.

Jemena has also awarded Valmec a contract for more works on the Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) project in Queensland, increasing Valmec’s contract value for this project to approximately $13.5 million.

According to Valmec Managing Director Steve Dropulich, the company is delighted to have secured the contracts for works on Mt Morgan and the NGP project.

“Whilst these awards continue to demonstrate the company’s capabilities and growing prominence in the gas sector, we are also excited about our project pipeline, including ongoing discussions at various stages regarding further contracts,” Mr Dropulich said.

Works are expected to commence immediately on all the contracts acquired, with majority of the projects to be completed by the end of the financial year.
