The joint venture between Perth-based Southern Cross Electrical Engineering (SCEE) and Kentech has won more work on the Chevron-operated Wheatstone LNG project near Onslow in Western Australia.
SCEE-Kentech joint venture’s (KSJV) sub-contract with the project’s head contractor, Bechtel, includes the delivery of electrical and instrumentation installation services at Wheatstone. After winning more work on the project, the joint venture’s order book for the Wheatstone LNG project now amounts to over $60 million.
“The work, which has commenced, is expected to be performed in the 2017 financial year,” said SCEE in a statement.

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering (SCEE) has been awarded two contracts with a total value of $25 million for works on Rio Tinto’s Amrun bauxite project in Queensland.
CIMIC Group company UGL Limited has secured more work contracts with a total value of approximately $200 million. The contracts are for the extension of supply maintenance and turnaround services for clients in the oil and gas sector in Western Australia and Victoria.
