BHP Billiton has awarded Decmil Australia a $75 million contract as part of the Mulla Mulla Village expansion in Western Australia. This award follows Decmil’s successful service delivery on various BHP iron ore projects in the region.
The Mulla Mulla Village expansion project – valued at approximately $105 million – will help boost operations at the upcoming South Flank project as well as at Mining Area C.
“Decmil has achieved great success in delivering complex projects across the region, reinforcing our expertise and 40 years of experience as a sector contractor.
“We look forward to further solidifying our growth path and long-standing relationship with BHP,” Decmil Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director Scott Criddle said.
The South Flank iron ore development is located in the Pilbara region, approximately 130 kilometres north-west of Newman, and about 8 kilometres away from BHP’s Mining Area C operations.
