Following the release of the Environmental Effects Statement (EES) in October 2018, the $375 million Mordialloc Freeway project in Victoria marks another major milestone with the announcement of a preferred contractor to deliver the early works for the project.

Major Road Projects Victoria has awarded the $25 million early works package to the Decmil - McConnell Dowell joint venture. Under this contract, the joint venture partners will deliver detailed design works for the Mordialloc Freeway project.

Detailed design works are set to commence immediately.

“Together with our joint venture partner McConnell Dowell, we are extremely pleased to be appointed for this large scale transport infrastructure project and are looking forward to delivering the works,” Decmil Managing Director Scott Criddle said.

"McConnell Dowell are looking forward to working with Decmil as preferred contractor to deliver this important part of Victoria's growing transport infrastructure for the Victorian State Government," McConnell Dowell Managing Director Jim Firth said.
