Golding Contractors – a wholly owned subsidiary of NRW Holdings – has been awarded a $25 million contract to deliver services for Fitzroy Australia Resources Pty Ltd at the Broadlea Open-Cut Coal Mine in Queensland.
“It’s very satisfying to see the recent acquisition of Golding Contractors delivering early results for NRW through a new mining contract and further opportunities on the east coast,” NRW Managing Director Jules Pemberton said.
Golding’s 12-month mining services contract includes the appointment as coal mine operator, drill and blast services under a sub-contractor as well as overburden mining and coal mining activities.
“We look forward to working with Fitzroy Australia Resources to recommence open cut operations at the Broadlea Mine,” Golding CEO Geoff Caton said.
The Broadlea Open-Cut Coal Mine is located approximately 150 kilometres south west of Mackay, within the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland.
