Mitchell Services secures three-year contract with Glencore QLD coal mines

Mitchell Services has been awarded a three-year contract by Glencore to provide drill services to its Queensland coal projects, with a two-year extension option.

In June 2016, Glencore awarded Mitchell Services an exploration drilling contract for the Clermont Coal Mine and with the new contract, Mitchell Services will also provide exploration services at the Collinsville and Newlands Coal Mines.

According to Mitchell Services Chief Executive Officer Andrew Elf, the company’s operational team has delivered an outstanding service to the Clermont Coal Mine in the last eight months.

“I am extremely pleased that this operational excellence and strong working relationship with Glencore Coal Assets Australia have translated into an expansion to Collinsville and Newlands where we will utilise existing equipment over an extended period,” Mr Elf said.
