A $22 million contract - to be executed via a turnkey basis - has been awarded by Jemena to Valmec Limited for works to deliver infrastructure as part of the Atlas Gas Pipeline Project located in South West Queensland.
Construction is set to commence immediately, with completion of the facility expected later this year.
“We are delighted to be awarded this strategic project for Jemena and its project partner Senex Energy Limited on their Atlas Gas Project. We look forward to continuing to develop our strong relationship with Jemena and delivering yet another successful project,” Valmec Managing Director Steve Dropulich said.

The Altas Gas Pipeline Project will comprise of a 60-kilometre buried pipeline that will run from Senex Energy’s Altas Gas Field - located west of Wandoan - and down Jemena’s Darling Downs Pipeline. The project will also include a compressor station that is going to be built near the Atlas Gas Field.
The first gas is anticipated to flow through the new pipeline by late 2019.
Once the new pipeline is operational, it will help secure the supply of gas to the domestic east coast gas market.
