#tendertuesday is a series of posts listing current Government tenders from across the country. Moving between states, we have dug up local upcoming projects to help you get a head start on winning work!

Government tenders are made up of many components and the completion and submission process can often be lengthy. Be prepared and get your application in on time to ensure your best chance of winning work. Follow the plan, prepare and submit steps outlined below to give yourself the best chance of submitting a winning tender. 

Plan

Plan ahead and start your tender application early so you aren't running out of time nearing the closing date. Don't forget to register your interest in order to be eligible to download tender applications and submit your documents.

Always be aware of:

• The closing date and time
• How to respond, whether it be by hard copy or electronic submission
• Where to submit your tender application
• Conditions making you eligible to apply 
• The contract terms and conditions
• The requirements outlined in the contract

Prepare

There are many components to consider when preparing your tender document. Tender assessors are looking for applications which differ from competitors and add value to the project. 

Remember to: 

• Be aware of any conditions for participation and any mandatory requirements 
• Comply with the format outlined in the tender application
• Clearly outline your ability to deliver the project requirements 
• Ensure you have completed a thorough price and cost schedule 
• Attach any additional information which may improve your application 

Submit 

Before submitting your tender application make sure your have completed a full check of your final documents. Never submit a tender application late as it won't be accepted and you'll cost yourself the chance of winning work. 

Keep in mind: 

• Late submissions will rarely be accepted, unless there are exceptional circumstances 
• All appropriate forms must be signed
• Submitting documents in the right format at the right location is of high importance
