CPB Contractors alliance to deliver $276m Roe 8 projects

CPB Contractors, with its Alliance partners Georgiou Group, WA Limestone, GHD, AECOM and BG&E, has been appointed to deliver three new projects for Main Roads Western Australia. These three new projects – with a combined value of $276 million – are part of the renegotiated Roe 8 contract.

“The new projects are significant in that they will enhance Perth’s road network operations in the northern, eastern and southern suburbs of Perth, as well as create important opportunities for the participation of local workers and businesses,” said CPB Contractors Managing Director Roman Garrido.

The three new projects under the Roe 8 renegotiated contract will include:

  • Connecting Murdoch Drive to Kwinana Freeway and Roe Highway, providing better access to the Fiona Stanley Hospital and the Murdoch Activity Centre
  • Upgrading Wanneroo Road to a dual carriageway between Joondalup Drive and Flynn Drive
  • Upgrading Armdale Road to a dual carriageway between Tapper Road and Anstey Road

The Alliance will also be collaboratively managing the rehabilitation of the Roe 8 site in Coolbellup.

Construction will commence on the Murdoch Drive connection – the first of the three projects – immediately, with works on the Wanneroo Road and Armdale Road dual carriageway upgrades expected to begin within the 2017-18 financial year.
